IComm Named Microsoft Enterprise Social Partner of the Year

IComm, Australia’s leading IT consultancy and integrator of unified communications and cloud services, has been named by Microsoft as their Enterprise Social Partner of the Year.

IComm won the Excellence in Enterprise Social Award at this year’s Microsoft Australian Partner Award (MAPA) event – which was held on the Gold Coast. IComm was selected as winners from a pool of 200 nominations across 20 different award categories.

The award recognised IComm’s recent partnership with Wellington Shire Council, the third largest municipality in Victoria. IComm worked closely with Wellington Shire Council to overhaul their communications platforms with a roll out Skype for Business. Skype for Business provides council staff with access to communications and resources from any location around the clock.

Since implementing Skype for Business, Wellington Shire Council has seen overall improvements in the way staff interact, collaborate and communication with one another and the public. The Council can also clearly demonstrate evidence over $180,000 in annual cost savings following the implementation of their new business systems. There have also been additional environmental benefits, improvements to customer service and raised standards in social inclusion.

The MAPA awards are designed to celebrate successful local technology deployments and showcase innovations achieved by Microsoft’s Australian partner network with Microsoft technology.
