Before heading to "Sin City" for the 2019 iteration of Microsoft Inspire, Justin and Stuart stopped in Seattle, WA to have some tourist time, and tour of the Redmond, WA campus of Microsoft. They didn't send many photos from their first day in Seattle, but we got the view, and the first Starbucks! 😉
The big reasons for the first stop being in Washington State however, were meetings (sorry, NDA), and the obligatory - BUT AWESOME - tour of Microsoft's Redmond Campus. Almost like a city unto itself, 47,000 people work at this location that in 125 buildings spread out over 500 acres. They have treehouses for meetings, a massive "commons" for food and bevvy shops, and even a museum to share their journey from their humble beginnings in New Mexico.
Two years ago, they announced a massive project to bring the building count to 131, and make space for another 8,000 people, but that is a 5 to 7 year plan... so it'll be awhile before we get to tour the new buildings. For now, here's some photos the guys sent through.
Today was registration day, so I expect that Justin, Rob, and Stu will be sending over updates starting tomorrow of what kind of sessions they are attending, people they're meeting, and learnings and takeaways from the conference. That, after all, IS what these things are about, aren't they?
Stay tuned for all about the #ICommView from #MSInspire2019!
